Horry County First Steps is now accepting grant applications from child care facilities.

Due to the unprecedented changes we have all experienced due to COVID-19, HCFS Facility Quality Enhancement program has made modifications to the implementation of our program, in an effort to continue to support providers in a safe and socially distanced manner. The basis of this year’s virtual training and coaching model is from Blueprint for Action, 2 nd edition, which focuses on achieving center-based change through staff development. Participating providers will be eligible to receive grant funding up to $500 per center to implement specific changes/goals. Trainings and coaching sessions will run on alternating months, with 4 hours/month of coaching, to be scheduled according to the director’s availability.
